When Stan Colie Nichols took the
office of tax collector back in January of
this year, he set out to do one thing, work for the people of
Santa Rosa
County.
Thanks to numerous procedural and operational changes, he will once
again
keep that promise. Nichols gave back unspent revenue totaling
over
$1.3 million to various agencies representing the citizens of
Santa Rosa
County.
Nichols explains, “As another cost-saving measure, we cut 4.39
percent from
our budget and are very happy about the progress this office has
made.”
Nichols presented the check at the Board of County Commissioners
meeting
on October 22 at 9 a.m
The 2009 County Held Certificate list is
available to download. Please note
that the amount to purchase a certificate is the face amount plus
1.5% per
month from June 1 plus $6.25.
